    February 2016 finds

It is now officially February, apparently.

Last night, amongst other stuff I bought, I found a very cheap copy of Crystal Japan 7" by Bowie. Never heard it before. Sounds like a Heroes out-take. Will post the other stuff later.

    What's this doing over here?
Everyone tear down your own little wall
That keeps you from being a part of it all
Because you've got to be one with the one and all
You've just got to be close to it all

      2 x Tip Shop visits = some 7" delights

No LP's but some nice, mostly Folk finds

      EFDSS Records 1969

Late 60's EP on Gus Records

This B is much better than the flip on this teachers plea for more pay in 1970.

A couple of old HMV EP's

      other 50p oddities

Not heard of the A but the B is more familiar as the theme to Steptoe & Son

A tatty sleeve but a nice find of Max's 7" co-written by Ian Dury

Best find of the week was this record made to be played as you played.

Nice finds HG especially those folk ones love things like that, whats the 'orange and blue' like?

Me just a solitary find but in the same shop there was a pile of mostly 90's chart dance 12" like 'Snap' etc at a quid a pop, y'know real cheese and some guy hoovered most of them up, dont think he even checked condition. I liked to imagine he was some old school pub DJ or perhaps not. This was is it for me, seems Mint one side and VG+ on the other, weird:

Kind of in keeping with the other thread I'd have hated this a few years back.

Lol, Kind offer but I'm miles away to justify a square dance (many a bad school memory). Need to stay away from kiddie records and generic folk dance for a while after my last mix.

I popped into a charity shop and what do I see a 50's HMV 7" of 'Northumbrian Folk Songs' luckily for me it was heavily scratched so I passed and picked up these two cheapies instead:

The first one in its original sleeve lovely bit of exotica Brit stylee in 3/4 like any good waltz should be:

If you'd lay off the sauce you'd find February started a few days before this post. I will admit to having just had a glass of something, but I still know February always begins on the 1st.

Want to sell it for two quid and make a quick 100% profit?
