Yes, keep meaning to get a copy of this - loved what I've heard ...
And whilst we're talking of Louie Bellson, why go foreign when the 'Louie In London' LP has all the funkiness you could want from a Big Band!? I pretty much buy everything I find from him, and am very rarely disappointed. Same goes for Mel Lewis (with or without Thad Jones )

+1 on Daly Wilson too

i have virtually nothing of this stuff but one lp i would get is SOM 3 "s/t" on odeon brazil , even though there is a couple of tracks with just the 3 of them there are about 3 - 4 big band funky numbers inc. a nice cover of california soul
