  • An Alphabet of Musicians linocut exhibition

'An Alphabet of Musicians' a linocut exhibition will take place at Cliffs in Margate beginning on Saturday 28th September and running for two weeks. The opening night is on the 28th and will feature art, records (courtesy of Jemma Cullen) and boozing (the holy trinity). Be lovely to see some of you there.

I've not been on here for a while but the series is very VG+ friendly including Can, Serge, Trish from Broadcast, John Carpenter, Sun Ra, Alice Coltrane, Delia D and loads more.

Wikipedia: Linocut is a printmaking technique, a variant of woodcut in which a sheet of linoleum (sometimes mounted on a wooden block) is used for a relief surface. A design is cut into the linoleum surface with a sharp knife, V-shaped chisel or gouge, with the raised (uncarved) areas representing a reversal (mirror image) of the parts to show printed. The linoleum sheet is inked with a roller (called a brayer), and then impressed onto paper or fabric. The actual printing can be done by hand or with a printing press.
