The Program - Tuesday 4th November - AfroBa Reading

The Program is a night of fantastic music in the wonderful environment of the AfroBa.

A wide range of styles is played with the only connection being that each record is top class. Expect everything from soulful disco by The Hollies through to Jamaican JB covers via 70s Polish Hip Hop Grooves and the odd Detroit electronic soul track.

From "Hot Pants" by The Deltones through to Marilia Medalha's "Zana" via some killer Eastern European grooves with a quick stop off at Red Astaire's "Follow Me", we guarantee a great night.

Another top night last night with a great selection of tunes played including a nice little 80s funky soul segment by guest DJ Tom Loveday and the first ever club airing of a unknown northern soul tune discovery by our lightsman Jim Donovan.

However, still no VV members turning up and claiming their free drink! Surely there must be some Berkshire born VVs out there? Or it this why we keep finding those "Hymns-A-Swinging" and "Neerlands Hoop in Bange Dange" grooves?
