  • Connan Mockasin @ Bush Hill

Fans of Gary Wilson shouldn't miss Connan Mockasin gigging this week.

His Forever Dolphin Love is in my pile for my Xmas swap mix.

    Connan Mockasin @ Bush Hall/

    Forever Dolphin Love

I shall be there on Wednesday if anyone else is popping down ?

Maybe its downbeat with depressing themes and technically imperfect vocals but it is an excellent example of a downbeat mix with depressing themes and technically imperfect vocals

A heathen, conceivably, but not, I hope, an unenlightened one

Well it was a pretty good gig from Connan. Although he mentioned the crowd didn't seem interested. There was a lot of industry types and celebs out (Jarvis Cocker etc) who obviously had been given guest lists and decided to talk although the way through the gig.

I liked the venue too. never been to Bush Hall before, nice little venue with easy parking after 7 too.

Neil Finn (Crowded House) project Pajama Club supported, which was a little odd. The band were very interesting in their more experimantal moments but the songs were a little too bland.

I was considering going to this but couldn't make it. Seen him a couple of times and enjoyed it. I think he was called Conan and the Mockasins back then (?), he might have had a different band too.

Bush Hall is cool; it's so easy to miss from the outside but it's beautiful inside!

Sounds like a classic London crowd!

Yeah that rings a bell with me too

I kept missing the gigs and thought not going to miss one again. Didn't realise he'd been going since 2007 though ?
