    South London Artists rally to raise money for Children of Tsunami
    - Sun 30th Jan - Forest Hill, SE23 -

    *12 local and internationally acclaimed artists will perform from 1-8pm.
    (+ special surprise guest appearance)

    *Celebrity auctioneer ‘Mickey Pearce’(Pat Murray) of ‘Only Fools and Horses’ fame will auction works of art from celebrated artists , sculptors and photographers incl. David Mach who will burn one of his famous and amazingly crafted ‘match heads’ to launch the auction.


    South London Artists rally to raise money for Children of Tsunami - Sun 30th Jan!

    Singer/songwriter RyeZ (Val Kelly), Dominique Pizzinat (Freespirit Entertainment) and local friends/volunteers from across S.E London, are organising a major fund raising event for the surviving children of the Tsunami. The event, which will be held on Sun Jan 30th at the LATITUDE in Forest Hill SE23, will bring together many talented professional artists - perfoming & visual - who collectively will use their talent & skills to help raise money.

    A full live music programme is scheduled from 1-8pm. It will feature 12 local & internationally acclaimed artists/acts spanning a diversity of genres from world music, Jazz, N.African Rai dance music, jazz-Flamenco fusion , gospel to unsigned pop/rock & acoustic acts. All of whom will perform to a donating public.

    Local artists include:
    Greenwich based AbdelKader Saadoun, Algerian King of Rock & Rai mixing a heady fusion of east meets western music; Forest Hill based RyeZ female fronted alternative soulful pop/rock band - the lead singer being described by many as a moden day Tina with a stage presence reminiscent of Grace Jones meets Mick Jagger & vocal & acoustic guitar duo Gill & Andy Lindsay - with a singer who will raise the hair on your forearms..Brockley based Jazz/latin Pianist John Crawford ( Tito Allen, German Olivera, Bjork, Babyface & The Braxtons to his credit) appearing with his own flamenco flavoured jazz band .

    The 3K PA,lighting and engineering is provided by local (Forest Hill) Sound, lighting company - 10 out of 10.

    Contemporary works of Art & Photography have been donated by established local artists such as resident David Mach, Greenwich based Margaret Higgins & Nigel Bonham. Items will be auctioned on the day by Celebrity auctioneer 'Mickey Pearce'( Pat Murray - of 'Only Fools & Horses' fame.

    The aim - is to raise as much money as possible for as many children as possible.
    'Ten people donating £20 each will provide food, clothing and shelter for one child for one year .
    We hope to raise enough to offer this to 50'.

    Entry will be £5 on the door.

    A very affordable set Thai menu will be available, 10% of which will be donated to the charity.
