Zoff - ZOFFF have been instrumental in bringing a new wave of instantly composed kosmische/psychedelic music to the already heady city of Brighton, England via their very own cult happenings known as Club Stramonium. Formed by accident in 2013, members of ZOFFF include:

-Chris Anderson on bass - Crayola Lectern, La Momo.
-Bic Hayes, guitar - Dark Star, Levitation, Cardiacs.
-Al Strachan, synth, electronics, trumpet - Sons Of Noel And Adrian
    -Mary Hampton.
-Damo Waters, drums – CLOWWNS, The Electric Soft Parade
-Richard Gorbutt with his extraordinary self made modular synth!

Radio 9- Radio 9 is a group based in Oslo, Norway best described as optimistic krautpop. Named after a Buzzcocks song recorded at a time when Buzzcocks' Pete Shelley insisted the band write, rehearse and record on LSD "excellent Krautpop" Jean-Hervé Peron, from German krautrock legends Faust "a shiny, streamlined future broadcast" bizarre magazine. "really rather good" John Peel

Rohame - ROHAME An offering of space, mass, pulse, love, patience. A collective consciousness whom form parts of One Unique Signal, Anji Cheung, Narrows, Exes including co-conspirators with The Telescopes and Earth. Rohame, the super-drone noise project for the brave and adventurous. This is pure music, unfettered by scenes or fashion, music that is at once solid and ephemeral, frequencies that alter and excite. Not to be missed.

+ Invisible City DJ's with the finest pre-recorded sounds.

If I was in London I would go to this.
Enthusiastic vagueness passes for scholarship in the twilight world of the disc-jockey.

I could be in London that weekend.

So doors are at 7.30... when does it end?

It's good that isn't it, especially the first disc. If I can persuade one of my many London-bound friends perpetually dealing with the seeming and constant problem of children to come with me, I'll be there.

Re Zoff...I thought Bic had disappeared off the face of the Earth. One of the most interesting guitarists I've come across. Pre Cardiacs we used to go and see him in a London squat band called Ring, very theatrical ,Cardiacs influenced. Still got a cassette of them somewhere. Before that it was Panixsphere on the free festival circuit. Almost tempted to come out just to see what he's up to now.
            You going Charly?
Everyone tear down your own little wall
That keeps you from being a part of it all
Because you've got to be one with the one and all
You've just got to be close to it all

Funny you should say that, I think I prefer the second disc...

Just listened to that Zoff album on the bandcamp link above - I really like it, not that dissimilar in terms of sound palette from the above-mentioned purple vinyl thing. Should be a good gig I think.

This is tomorrow. Think some vgplusers should be in attendance. I'll be the scruffy guy behind the decks which are usually kinda stuck on the corner of the bar.

Nope, sadly not. No London at all for me this week, still in the Steel City. Enjoy!

Went, it was excellent. Hello to Chris, Dan, Rich & Liza, the pleasure was all mine. Friendly club, good sound system, Roof Dog beer! Pulled out my copy of Saw Delight when I got back last night, first tune of the day was Don't Say No. Thanks for jogging my memory there. Top tunes on the decks. Radio 9 were sublime, Zoff was like holding onto the blown off, loosely attached tail end of some crazy rocket ship and hurtling through God knows where, hats off to the drummer, had to give him a seat after their set, he was done for! Ladybird 6b didn't sound like that when I was a nipper! Eat Lights...seem to be heading in a slightly different direction, could just be my ears though. Wandered back to the car with a smile on my face. Glad this stuff is still happening.

A pleasure to meet Paul for the first time, and catch up with Dan and Rich, an excellent evening! Paul is right about the drummer, crikey, he gave his all, total powerhouse!
Rich kindly let me look through his record box and it confirmed what I was thinking earlier in the day - there are so many records in the world and far too little time...
                              Cracking stuff!
