This week, your usual host Greg Belson has to vacate the studio to deal with a family emergency....not to worry though....stepping up to the plate is the inimitable Pete Isaac...this time, traversing the funkier side of his playbox.

Our guest this week is Niceup! hotshot and the General Badman of the 7" single;

DJ SHEPDOG

Read about his life through 45's right here;

This direct from the desk of the S-Dog himself in cahoots with his presented 45 Live mix..."There's seems to have been an increase in old school hip hop revivalism on TV recently, with The Get Down, Hip Hop Evolution, Rubble Kings and more doing the rounds, so I thought I'd put together my own tribute to the early pioneers of hip hop music, namely Grandmaster Flash, Afrika Bambaataa and DJ Kool Herc, whilst also paying homage to the legendary "Ultimate Breaks and Beats" series of LPs that laid the foundations for so much of the music I love today (shout to Breakbeat Lou and Lenny Roberts RIP). Keen ears will hear more than a nod to the legendary "Death Mix" amongst many other classic tracks that have been sampled over the years. Recorded in 1 take, old school style"

Your host Pete Isaac will be selecting beats, pieces, rarities, forgotten funk, serious soul and anything else he can grab from his well stacked crates. It's a celebration of the 7" single like no other, so join us please!

We broadcast on Dublab.com from 8pm US PDT (4am UK time), perfect to tune in live for the pre-club sessions in California, and the back-to-mine party in the UK!
