Picked up a really clean copy of this last year for 6 euros - great pressing.

Also bought Rother's 'Flammende Herzen" LP and sold it immediately. Too much of the Holiday '82 vibe for my liking..... kept expecting Judith Chalmers to turn up while I was listening to it !!

Aye, seems so. I've not heard it in ages but seem to remember it's very much heavy blues rock in the main or maybe I'm thinking of something else.

this tangerine dream spin off album is a great listen and is quite cheap aswell. less than a tenner widely available. reissued by bureau b recently (I think). NM originals out there cheaper. released on Virgin

threw this on recently after not spinning it for a while. on Brain label. very easy listen. veering towards prog more than kraut maybe but great nonetheless. plenty of moog, synths, mellotron and guitar instrumentals. available for a tenner on discogs. think i got a vg+ copy for a 5er a few years back

french skyline by eathstar also a lovely kosmiche sounding record from late 70s. released on german label Sky . the group are american but klaus schultze did produce. very pleasant electronic ambient noodling going on. again, can be got for a tenner. this is their 2nd LP, have their 3rd also which I think is not as good in comparison. still decent

I'm a firm fan of this thread.

I think we could add Irmin Schmidt/Bruno Spoeri - Toy Planet to the list. Killer electronic wibbles, not too much for an OG Spoon press.

Excellent suggestions. I hope I get to do an update soonish
The Can- Spoon 45 should defintiely get on the list as well.

Take (mr formics) list with a grain of salt. Especially the onknown ones tend to be very disappointing. I had some very strange exchanges with the fella on discogs before but I gave up.

There are also a few reasonably cheap and fun Krauty 45s available for under 20 beans, with a bit of luck...

    - Cheap on German press although the UK one looks costly now...

    - Not bad

    - completely nuts!

    - nice later Can track, available on a German 45

    - so we can debate whether it's Krautrock or Ostrock, but I think it's pretty good...

    - decent moody number

    - heaviness!

    - also on a UK press

    - available on modern bootish 45

    - excellent trippy gear available on UK 45...

Some fella has also devised a list on Discogs with plenty more....about 90% of which I'm unfamiliar with!

    Another two for the list:
Wolfgang Reichmann's Wunderbar - killer glacial synth po.
Embryo's Reise: Not one of their more expensive LPs but just really good - loads of creative musical ideas. Really embodies the slighty dodgy exotica indulgences of the hippy trail in all of it's messiness.:

The documentary of their travels is amazing:

Bundt is incredible. Pro tip: Dont play it out to a full dancefloor though. Oh no.

Just added a few more to the list.

Best thread ever and close to my heart as you know! Going to try and think of a few to add myself - worth noting that Holger's albums are still cheap and great. Perhaps Spacebox - Kick Up (featuring Guru Guru personnel) which I bought after a tip off from the thread starter? Also, not sure how cheap it is anymore but Michael Bundt - "Just Landed Cosmic Kid" is straight fire.
