For the 'They said it would never happen' Mellow Mellow set which went out to Steve, myself the two Wyrewoods and the slightly unnerved - and unnerving - middle-aged dancing-whilst-standing-still woman, I probably played most of these:

    Bugsy - In Limbo
Marcos Valle - Previsao Do Tempo
Earth Kitt - Hurdy Gurdy Man
    Susan Pillsbury - Heaven
    John Prine - Sam Stone
Percy Sledge - Out of Left-field
Carol Kleyn - Baby Come Closer
    Carlinho Vergueinos - Panos Quentos
Charley D & Milo - I'll Keep It With Mine
Scott Fagan - South Atlantic Blues
Tim Hardin - It'll Never Happen Again

and then for the 'Jesus Christ! People will dance to anything when they've stuck in an underground bunker pouring booze down their faces for five hours!' set later on in the evening, I played these, in no particular order:

Merrel Fankhauser & HMS Bounty - Things (Going Round In My Mind)
Veriable Reluctance - Blow In My Ear
    O. V. Wright - I Don't Know Why
Bunky & Jake - Taxi Cab
Reg King - You Go On And Have Yourself A Good Time
    Lexia - Love Is
    Sounds Nice - Continental Exchange
    The Marmalade - Kaleidoscope
The Blues Busters - How Sweet It Is
    Albert King - Crosscut Saw
    Bear - Greetings!
Hackamore Brick - Oh! Those Sweet Bananas
Manfred Krug - Werden drauden graun ich
The Fallen Angels - Room At The Top
The Bee Gees - Harry Braff
The Rotary Connection - Want You To Know
    King Tubby's - Natty Dub
The Flat Earth Society - Midnight Hour

Anyway, it all seemed to go fairly swimmingly and many thanks to those that made it down and especially to Rich Hero and Viva Chiba for playing such excellent sets.

And now we have to do it all over again next month, of course!!!!!
    To infinity - and beyond!

I thought you were going to cover that up if you played it out?

He also contributed songs for the Jim Henson movie vehicle 'Muppets From Space'.

I did! I actually played 'Dust In The Wind' by Kansas...

Matt, that Nana Mouskouri track is just her singing a song to her newborn song over toms. Lovely for setting the mood. And it gets the Jack 'Wolf People' seal of approval too. Did I send you my old 'Chigley' swap CD? It's on there so I can burn you a copy if you'd like (email your new address ).

And yep, Little Portland Street, Pete.

It's on a greatest hits double LP on Fontana, with a burgundy sleeve and a framed picture of Nana, (I don't actually remember the title). I picked it up because it has a version of 'PYHITH' but found it has no break. I wasn't too disappointed though.

                          ?!

Oddy I think everyone played at least one tune I owned and thought of playing that day. . .

                          i.e. . .

Steve - Mike Curb - Pot Party
Hugh - Sounds Nice - Continental Exchange
Rich - Wynder K - Eddie's Tune (this use to slightly irritate me, but I have now learnt to love it lots).

Will try to post up a makeshift track listing laterish, if I haven't put them all away. . .
