Here, by the way is one I had framed and gave as a wedding present to a friend who was, hilariously, marrying an American. They loved it and its still in their living room, so was a home run:

Looks cracking and not bad at £35 delivered as its the sort of book that can only hold its value.

Thanks for that Matt - a great review indeed - I now really really want a copy
        Will have to start saving

This one seems to be a strong candidate for my brilliant Wobbliest Cover Artwork thread.

They love Vic Damone at the World Record Club so they do:

Toyed with putting this in the Brit Bossa thread but I have no idea who 'Los Bandidos' are or if indeed they are British. I'd hazard a guess its some random session dudes. Anyway not spun it for a while but don't remember it being half bad.

Los Bandidos - It's Bossa Nova

Looking at my copy it has a more yellow tinge as opposed to the green in the pic. I'm just replaying it and its an odd record. Rockabilly backing with sax, swing drums and Spanish guitar over the top. Sounds like they have taken an existing session and over dubbed other instruments in an attempt to make it sound more latin or its a bunch of session musicians doing an approximation of what they think bossa nova sounds like having never heard it. Either way I find it quite endearing which is probably why I left it in the shelves.

Decent enough entry in the WRC catalogue.... good tracks inc. 'Pimples & Braces', 'I Kiss Your Hand Madame'... not to mention the immortal 'Kookie, Kookie Lend Me Your Comb'.
