Great film, great soundtrack. Had a bit of a High Fidelity moment (when the Elevators comes banging out of the speakers at the start) with the Miles Kane version of Jacques DuTroncs La Resposable. Awesome. And that set the scene for me. Music old and new (selected by Johnny Owen), work really well in each scene, telling the story of a music obsessed Welsh valley mod, putting everything he has into breaking a band up in the smoke. Laugh out loud funny moments, poignant, and no chance of dropping off (which I do all too often in the cinema nowadays!).
I'm going to pick up the soundtrack too, which I think will stand on its own as a great listen.
Recommended for passionate music fans everywhere.

That keeps you from being a part of it all
Because you've got to be one with the one and all
You've just got to be close to it all

a good laugh I thought - nothing more ...Martin Freeman is ace in it ! agreed on the OST - really well put together - for me it was liking a pop video that was 90 minutes long - which in no bad thing !!
