This has not popped up on my radar ....but why not eh? Sounds fun.

Halloween is a stone-cold classic. It's aged really well IMO

Great film - one of the highlights of Frightfest this year. Other gooduns - The Canal (Irish), Starry Eyes (US), The Samurai (German), Alleluia (Belgium).
If you like Cannibal movies Green Inferno was fun and daft (still trying to work out if there was a political/environmental message to it though - swings both ways as it were). Not really horror but also enjoyed The Harvest. And they showed a brilliant low budget sci-fi (think Primer) film called Coherence - catch that if you can!

Think I might watch Coherence over the weekend. The signal is probably the best sci-fi I've seen for a while but not seen a good horror for a couple of years will check out those frightfest recommendations.

I was disappointed with The Signal - promised much, but too many whys....

I thought for a low budget film it worked quite well but it did have its flaws as if it had loftier ambitions in terms of story and had to reign it in as it went along through budget constraints, that's how it came across to me. It did have a creepy atmosphere to it throughout which I liked a lot. Talking of 'whys' the biggest one for me was the cow, no clue what that was all about.
