I like nothing more than being scared witless. Pre-ordered. Roll on February 15th!

Here's hoping it lives up to the reviews on Rotten Tomatoes which include one reviewer stating he moved to the back of the theatre because he didn't like having empty seats behind him.

I saw this when it came out and it was damn good. I don't normally go to see horrors in the cinehouse and this film reminded me why.

It's really really good - and you can pre-order a facsimile of the book - limited edition copy - here:

I thought it had some good elements. I enjoyed the lead actress and the cinematography was great but I thought the story was a mess and most importantly I didn't think it was scary in fact I found it more comical towards the end. Different strokes and all that, I see Mark Kermode rates it as his film of the year.

Well worth a watch...... Single parent horror or grievehorror , anyway well worth a watch. Strong acting and a great visual flair.

Mentioned this in work today, it was mis-heard as "baby duck" ....... That's not scary

Posted up by Col above.... keep up Rich!!!

(It is the short film that the director made in 2005 which she has now expanded into a full feature - key change being that the book was originally a doll.)

So why isn´t it called Dababoll?

Not that I´m watching it anyway. I like being scared witless less and less, although I´m still partial to a bit of honest gore.

I liked the way them French kids rioted at that doll horror film recently, though. They reckon that if they scare you shitless you´re supposed to titter politely and settle down until the next cheap jump scare, not tear the seats up, scream and have a popcorn battle. Well I know what I'd prefer.
