  • Reissue covers not crisp

i have a lot of reissues with blurry covers. some look like they have scanned cd covers and made them bigger. some are a totally different cover.
any reason for this? I'm guessing the bootleg versions are because they are bootlegs. but I recently got the simply vinyl version of In Utero and compared to the original its all fuzzy and a totally different colour

Well, they match the general low quality of the actual records.

Usually it's impossible to get the original artwork so usually the original cover will be scanned and reworked, so depending on the company and the source material, results can vary a fair bit.
