  • Vinyl Guide Ep086: Bernie Grundman & The Art of Record Mastering

This was pretty interesting but it made my head hurt by the end of it ...

Bernie Grundman is credited on over 3000 records including Carole King's "Tapestry", Michael Jackson's "Thriller", Prince's "Purple Rain" and the Blue Note vinyl reissues to name a few.

Heads up that the interview starts 11 (!) minutes in. Just very annoying padding and adverts before that.

No problem. It's not often that you get a mastering engineer talking in such detail, is it? For that, I can manage to hold down the FF button on my music player for 10 seconds.

I was only trying to be helpful by pointing it out so that others could skip straight to the interview...?

And I was agreeing with you!
It annoys me too so that's what I do every time.
