    I got rid of a couple of hundred records before I left and I'm still convinced I own most of them. Last week I realised that this was was one of them.

    Enjoyed reading that piece, thanks. I got into boogaloo in the late 80s/early 90s with the Charly/Caliente comps and reissues, but I always thought it was a New York thing. It was only when the internet happened that I learnt that it was massive in Colombia, Venezuela, Peru and Panama well into the 70s.
    My local Colombian expat radio station often plays it among the bachata and reggaeton. This one came on on Saturday.
