This one put a spring in my step on the way in to work this morning:

          "don't shoot the bass player"

(last track on side 2 on this starts at 29:23 in)

roman rock a cha - guido cenciarelli (on this Italian Library CD) - every time I hear it, a Fellini movie is conjured up in my head...

This is the golden age of acquiring teetering piles of CDs out of charity shops for pennies

Earlier today - this storming version of "it was a very good year" by the 3 Sounds - which I'd (almost) forgotten about:

Had my first full experience of listening to Dusk Fire on vinyl last night (Jazzman reissue, natch). Awesome. Sent me squirreling into Discogs to get familiar with Don Rendell's back catalogue, in case any pop up on this summer's boot fair/charity shop trawls. You never know

Today it was: Tim "love" Lee - one night samba

anyone know which version of "autumn Serenade" was sampled on this one? I'd hoped to stumble across it by now - but no...

No idea on the sample, but I love that Tim Love Lee album, always thought it should have been more popular. There's a bunch of samples on both his albums I'd like to know...

                            Orchestral Hip Hop from Finland.

Liked Saimaa's last one. They scored a documentary on Finland's sporting heroes.
