Looks like there's a new Trunk LP on the horizon:

    http://www.trunkrecords.com/turntable/internecine.shtml

Looks interesting, and more satisfying than the 7 inch that came out about 6 months ago.

"The film’s unusual and often misspelt name comes from the word internecine – the definition of which is conflict within a group."

    Interesting indeed.

Some cues from this were on an old Cinephile CD, along with music from 'Foxbat' and 'Something To Hide' - ace, primo Budd stuff, great to see that there is going to be a more extensive release.

We've also got these coming as well:

            Mechanical Keyboard Sounds
            http://www.trunkrecords.com/turntabl...eyboards.shtml

Might be an amazing piece of audio archiving/art or might be what Wire Magazine when talking about the variable nature of Trunk's output referred to as "the occasional worthless novelty"

            This 7" sounds more fun:

            Sara Meets Lucy

He's really gone off the deep end this time. Luckily his label has some die hard fans.

Sounds great, bit like a cross between Get Carter and Diamonds, which is pretty much what you'd hope for...

I did the same but I still have no idea what it will sound like- haven't listened to any sound clips.

Ha ha! Likewise, and it's so long since I've seen the film itself...

A little harsh. But I'm certainly no Trunk completist. Been bitten a few times with "curios". Though I sort of approve and some are great.
Enthusiastic vagueness passes for scholarship in the twilight world of the disc-jockey.

The Wire has got a bit of a cheek- that pretty much describes 80% of the navel gazing nonsense they pontificate about. Some of it has vanished so far up it's own fundament that even Elon Musk's mini submarine wouldn't be able to bring it back.

I say that as a long time subscriber to the Wire.

'Internecine Project'- or Get Carter 'Version', as I think of it now I've heard it, has arrived here. It's great. I can't imagine why anyone would not want it.

That reminds me of something I read recently. Michael Caine was being interviewed in a pub in Newcastle during the filming of Get Carter. The interviewer asked him if he's like a drink. "It's a bit early so I'll just have half a lager", says Caine. "We don't do lager", says the barman. "Why not", asks Caine. "Well, we don't get that many women in here", says the barman.

                              That'll teach the cockney twat.

I love Michael Caine. Now someone will tell me he's a neo-nazi ...
