  • New Releases February 2021

New Life Trio's 'Visions of The Third Eye' LP is getting a legit reissue via Early Future Recordings in the US. It's being mastered from vinyl, presumably no tapes available. It's $28 over there so it won't be cheap here but given the cost of an original it'll be a bargain. It's got a little magazine with it including an interview with guitarist Brandon Ross. Sounds of the Universe have it on pre-order if anyone's interested.

More Jazz. Available everywhere, I imagine.

Some Clay Pipe reissues as well. It's all happening.

Does anybody like their rock a bit proggy and seventies? I do, and I'll always buy a new Diagonal LP. They don't come along that often but this new one is virtually hot-on-the-heels of their last, which came out about a year and a half ago. I don't have the money for all these new records, or even one of them. Does anybody.

Debut album by South African saxophone player Barney Rachabane‘s group Roots has been reissued by Frederiksberg Records and is now in stores. I would normally not be too excited about jazz that can be described as soulful and groovy, but this album is really good.

It is really good. That's going to hurt my bank balance.
