Mike sammes lp's

Hi all,

a quick question regarding Mike Sammes records.
I have the lp "Fun with the Classics" on World Record Club. Does anyone here know if its the same lp as "Sammes Sessions"? Thats the one with the blue cover.

I've got 'Sammes Session' - give us a track listing for the other one and I'll have a look.

I've got the Sammes Sessions too
and many of the titles are of "classical"
pieces, so it might be 1 and the same LP

Hey, anyone know if the 7" EP "Children's Party vol 1" by Mike Sammes singers, musical direction by Johnny Gregory is any good?

'Cos if it is, then I slept on it LIKE A FAKIR ON A BED OF NAILS.

(Had a day for such things yesterday - buying covers with the wrong record in the sleeve etc.)

I hope Jonny Trunk saved the master tape of this when he found it among the late Mike's personal effects......

Apparently,the good Mr Trunk rescued lots of ad jingles on quater inch reel to reel tapes. These may/may not get a full release sometime. Then again.....
Such a sad story though. The guy lived alone for the last few years of his life in relative obscurity.
Untill succumbing to illness after a bad fall.
We have his great music to remember him.
May he rest in peace.

I have seen another Mike Sammes lp around featuring kids songs on it. Its got a cartoony cover but I can't remember the title.
What is it? Scat jazz nursery rhymes????
