J. Sangster would be John Sangster at a guess.... Australian percussionist and composer.

I'll try and concentrate on the rest now!

sermad,
these are all composers of recorded music?

Have you tried a copyrights websites?

You probably also know many titles they composed so you should be able to fill many gaps there.

Brian Dee used to live in Tolworth near Tolworth Tower.

I used to go drinking with his kid, Howard.

For all you fact fans out there. .

Oops - you're right! Well, considering how long it took me to type that list out, one mistake isn't too bad!

Well done for mentioning Robin Jones too - I'd forgotten about him. I think Robin composed mainly for Apollo Sound, and Raymond Jones did stuff for Standard, so 'R Jones' could be either of them.

Is that the Robin Jones 7 of 'El Maja' fame? Some nice Latin business on that LP from what I can remember...
a giant steam-powered turntable in warwickshire plays six foot cement recordings of Prince Albert's speeches to the rejoicing populace

Personally El Maja is better than Denga but both are really solid latin affairs. I think there is one track called 'atlas' which is really hot.

WICKED cover for El Maja (its on my wall&#33.

Yep, that's the chap - I've got a feeling he might be related to R.G. Jones of Oak records fame. The rare Oak LP 'Wilf Todd and His Music' features a track ('My Summer Love&#39 that Robin covered for Apollo Sound.
