It will most likely be a hardback (sorry) and after a good chat about the launch a few things came out over a liquid lunch - a special day of dj-ing and schmoozing
with superstar DJ's (here we go) at the British Library on a similar tip to the recent Library Music evening they held there last month - I'd imagine the flexis will be on
display in glass cabinets etc. We'll hopefully be playing some of the discs over the PA and selling copies of the book which will run to around 2 to 3 thousand copies,
which is great as there isn't another book been done on the subject before at least UK flexis.
Jonny Trunk will be doing the sleeve notes and the in -house designers at Four Corners Books will design the sleeve - when I know more I will keep you guys posted.

I liked Tizer - my grandma used to let us drinks loads of it - but I never knew what it had in it.
Judging by that t-shirt design and this bewildering experimental TV ad., it's probably best I didn't know.

Many thanks to Fuz who has helped me out with a flexis-flood, not sure any will make the forthcoming book
but some nice additions to my collection and some will be ear-marked for a 2nd volume should it ever happen.

my fave was a beautiful Japanese promo + inserts for the early 70's movie Twinky also known as Lola

You might have to adjust your maths a bit there Shane, there are 150 in the book, over 50 of them are mine...then there are Kev's and Andrews too...

The only flexi disc I have came from "Jackie" magazine - my sister asked me to play it for her back in 1973 and so I did. It remains somewhere in a 7" record box unplayed again to this day...

I'm surprised to see it listed on Discogs though - here it is: http://www.discogs.com/David-Cassidy...elease/1926963

I was always intrigued by it being pressed by Lyntone - which apparently was located somewhere in Holloway (where I grew up).

I have lots of flexi discs but they were mostly freebies in fanzines and magazines in the 80s and I doubt any of those made the book. Not interesting enough from a graphic design point of view, I imagine. Did the Marilyn Chambers cardboard flexi make the cut? Or maybe it doesn't count, as its not strictly speaking a flexi disc. My copy has so many imperfections the needle jumps all over the place when it plays and it ends up soundling like some sort of Steve Reich pornographic tape cut up piece. It's on discogs too:
