This week: DJs Bartfader & Taco Fett

Hot, Funky & Sweaty Nov 20
Salmon & Compasses, 58 Penton St, Angel, London N1
Every 1st & 3rd Thursday of the month, 8pm-2am. Free

Barthfader & Taco Fett are best known for their Amsterdam based Funk nights, Cold Grits & Struttin’ – the Dutch versions of HF&S and a regular stop for DJs such as Keb Darge, Ian Wright etc and bands like The Soul Destroyers.

Many of their revered guest DJs and bands returned the favour earlier this year when the two lads did a manic DJ tour of the UKÂ’s premier funk nights, including LondonÂ’s Deepfunk, PlymouthÂ’s Jelly Jazz and EdinburghÂ’s Motherfunk.

Unfortunately, HF&S’s Thursday night calendar wasn’t compatible with the Amsterdam connection’s whirlwind schedule, so we figured screw it – let’s fly them over special later. So we did, and here they are.

So come down, make them feel welcome and help improve our shaky EU relations in the process – no dodgy Dutch Mohawks, just damn fine Funk!
