  • 3 kings pub, this friday

If you have nothing to do come friday, you could do worse than come down to the Three Kings pub (27 Clerkenwell Close, nearest tube Farringdon, sort of opposite Turnmills, nr the big church) where my friend Jeremy and i will be playing soul, funk, ska and reggae, and most likely a little touch of afro stuff too. If you have any interest in ska/ rocksteady, you shouold probably attend, as Jeremy has a serious serious selection, and is nobody's fool in the soul funk dept either...
Kicking off around 8, last time we were still going at 1, though technically I think we're only on til 11 or 12...

here's a little play list so you have some idea.

Earl Brown - Get together (Jericho)
Ken Boothe + Stranger Cole - Artibella (Studio 1)
Roland Alphonso - Nimble Foot (Ska Beat)
    David Robinson - I'm a carpenter (Orbitone)
Clarence Curvan - Feeling Nice (Charlies)
Don Drummond - Treasure Island (Island)
The Rebels - Rhodesia (Black Wax)
Aaron Bailey and the Family Affair Band - The Point (Kris)
Leonard Howard - If you want to be true (Here's)
Prince Buster - Linger On (Voice of the People)

Its free, its fun, the music is ace, the pub is jolly good, plenty of people, dancing and the rest.
