As far as I can tell they should stay there indefinately but its nice to point this out and say look through them and get all misty eyed..

Well, here's an idea.

If you see any interesting threads, especially with the kind of information that we're always asking for, why not open another read only form called 'Natter Gold' or something with selected 'Best Of' threads linked into it ?

I often use the search feature to find stuff in old topics because I always forget to note stuff down. Is there any chance of the search engine on the main site getting fixed? I know you can Google with the site URL but it doesn't work half as well as that search engine used to.
