Hot, Funky & Sweaty’s back in 2004, with live bands now playing twice a month, and guest DJs from all over the joint – all for just £2 entry (cheap&#33 and that’s if we charge at all (double cheap&#33 Show me another funk night that can do all that. Go on, show me! It’s all about the live funk, baby...

Kicking off the new year is a welcome return for Mr Güder, who went down a treat at HF&S last year – I remember a certain funked up version of an S-Club 7 tune that rocked the place. Güder’s been busy, now with even more releases under their collective belt since they last played here – expect a mash of old funk and breaks favourites with a couple of surprises thrown in!

Our guest DJ for the night will be no other than DJ Legohead, otherwise known to many of us as Sermad! The undisputed king of the libraries and Euro-vinyl madness, not mention HF&S’s most loyal attendee, will be celebrating his birthday on form – come down and buy him a pint!

had become so green that I had to shoo him away from behind the decks, where he was seeking refuge from the weird booze... I feel bad that I had to turn the poor soul away, but I feared that if I didn't, chunder would surely be mixed with precious vinyl
