  • Wordy rappinghood rap track

I've got this hip hop tune on iTiunes. I've no idea what it is, but I think someone gave it to me. I don't know who. It sounds like a recent-ish cut-up. It's based on Wordy Rappinghood, but with added drums. I'm hopeless at recognising rappers, so God knows who it is, but he says:

The War is on, who you fightin' for?

    And a sort of chorus:
Rock it to 'em, Rock it to a rhythm of (something or other )

    It's the new way on!

    Any ideas what it is?

Since you say "he" you are luckily not asking about Chicks On Speed.
Sorry mate, but I don't know what it is. I just came across a TomTomClub fan website and had no idea how many different covers the original record had in different markets:

Its probably the Common (sense) tune with Stereolab - 'New Wave' - the Play group remix...

Yes, I got sent the Chicks On Speed. Never has a record seemed so pointless as Chicks On Speed's cover version. Quite like the Playgroup mix, though.

I spoke to Trevor Jackson and it never came out. I have it, though. PM me.
