Picked up 2 copies of this record recently at a local book fair. Anyone got any info on the group? Are there any other albums of theirs worth hunting down? It seems as if Mike Vickers has been credited with some tracks. It's pretty nice stuff (for a $1 record), there's a used sample on "Daydream" that I just can't pinpoint (RJD2 perhaps?), as well as a drumbreak, a couple of funky drum heavy covers, etc.

The other copy is up for trade if anyone is interested. Thanks in advance for any info.

    peace.

Yep, Mike Vickers is the man responsible for this - they did a couple of LPs for Pye in Britain, the one I've got is 'Yesterday's Dreams', which has a nice cover of 'The Witch' on it (misprinted as 'Timeswitch' on the sleeve&#33

I don't know what the other one's like, but I think they've been covered somewhere on this very site.

I *think* 'Je T'Aime' may be a compilation of two of their other LP's. I have 'Love Story' (and I'm guessing 'Yesterday's Dreams' is the same LP repackaged) and 'By The Light Of The Moon'. It gets a bit confusing (are their several 'Oceans...' tracks on your LP Sheep?)...

In my opinion 'By The Light Of The Moon' is better since it has more of Mike Vickers own compositions and the version of 'Daydream' is excellent. But the two Mike Vickers tracks (especially 'The Last One&#39 are great and I do like their take on 'Woodstock'. And I don't know who sampled that 'Daydream' - everyone I know of seems to use the GKC's.

I can't remember too clearly now, but there's a real nice Baker St Orch record that I can't remember the name of, with a really great track that I also can't remember the name of, but has these great string 'swooshes' on, very groovy.

The cover has a head&shoulders of a pretty blonde. This may be hte record you already have, sorry about how crap this post is, if I remember more I'll post it up.

Rich, you're right, Je T'Aime is a comp of those two lp's on the budget Summit label.

I pulled 'Love Story' out of the racks last night and, although I'm still fairly sure that it's the same LP as 'Yesterday's Dreams', it doesn't include 'The Witch' or indeed 'Timeswitch'. Odd.

Ah yes Nick, now that's possibly 'Ocean of Storms,' one of four tracks on the LP J'T'Aime which form a 'moon suite' in commemoration of the Apollo flights. I really like the other three moon tracks and Que Je T'aime too.

Thanks again to Daniel&HisOrchestra for the LP

I think a conversation at Brillo determined that this track was 'The Last One' which has sweeping 'whooshes' part way through.

That's it - The Last One. Completely forgot that we talked about that a few years back. Anyone have that on MP3? I lost mine somewhere...

It was hip in 1975 and it still is (least it is in my book!)
