    Anyone know the orig. source of the recently re issued Jazzman 45 "Why Dont You Do Right", could really do with a orig. copy of it.

    Came out on Riverside on at least two different US pressings and also on the UK Riverside.

    Last copy I saw on the bay went for about $55 ...i think.

      Got the UK pressing at a record fair last Sunday for 50p! At 2 o'clock in the afternoon!!
      There MUST be a Hymns-A-Swingin' in this box...

        I don't how many LP's M Murphy recorded on Riverside
        I can think of 1 called I thin "RAH".

        His main label was Capitol, with the likes of Bill Holman-Arranger
        and Jack Sheldon-Trumpet and/or Flugelhorn, the orchestra
        was the best there ever could be.

        And those guys also played in Quincy Jones' band/orchestra from the very
        same period
