  • Synth soundtrack recommendations needed

i'm gonna put together a little ole compilation for myself but the theme will be tv and/or movie soundtrack music with a heavy synthesizer/electronic theme, preferably old school stuff from the 70's and 80's. some of the stuff I have in my collection but others I may have to find as downloads on the net.

    so far i've got:

John Carpenter-Assault On Precinct 13, Escape From NY, etc
    Knight Rider Theme
    Airwolf Theme
Equalizer Theme (I think this is electronic)
    Blue Thunder Theme
    Wargames ost

I know there's loads more but i'm drawing a blank at the moment. Isn't some of the Barry de Vorzon stuff on the Warriors ost electronic?

anyway, any and all recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi,

I know it's probably an obvious reccomendation, but how about Keith Emerson's excellent 1981 'NightHawks' OST - sythny, funky and proggy all at the same time!

Oh shit yeah, don't forget the Moroder's score to Scarface, though only Tony's Theme made it to the OST though... crying shame... I like the Anderson Tapes too, by Quincy Jones

thanks for the suggestions everyone, list compiled and search begun. I've got some of the other odd bits and pieces mentioned like Scarface, some Moroder, Rollerball, etc. A lot of these sound pretty obscure but interesting nonetheless.
