    Hi Vultures,

picked up an interesting BOSSA NOVA lp on this small canadian record label. Music credited to Chico and his orchestra.
Does anyone know any info on this label??

Does this have a track called 'Funny Flute' on it? If so, I think this album may have got a British release, so I'd imagine the Arc records credited are the same as the British label of the same name.

They were based in Kensal Road in London, and were connected with the Saga and later Boulevard labels too.

As far as music goes, I think the Chico and his orch tracks come from an extensively licensed set of sessions that originated on the Capriola label in Italy, but I'm still trying to find out more about Capriola, so I can't confirm this yet.

If anyone's got any Capriola LPs lying around, I'd like to hear from you.....

Yes it does feature the track Funny Flute.
Thats interesting though. I have a few other lps on this label. One is called Operetta a Go Go (I think). I also had one called Sexy Sax. Most of these are pretty lame. Recently saw one with Barrel organ music.

Arc is the label for the Majestics records too, some quite funky covers of stuff like Hey Joe and various JB tracks to found on them... They also put out stuff by local artists like Dusty King from East Hatley...
