Well, I'll tell you from the off volume 8 is the one to get, if you can find it - excellent brassy/hammondy stuff featuring Ray Davies, Alan Hawkshaw, Steve Gray, Vic Flick and others.

Of the ones you've listed I have 1 & 2 - 1 is mainly big-band swing music by the Skymasters, with an OK crime jazz theme by Don Lusher, 'Suspect No. 1', plus some Bert Kaempfert style tracks from Ray Davies.

Vol 2 is swing/jazz performed by the Cavendish Ten - there's one Herb Alpert type Tijuana track too, and a nice moody latin-ish track, 'Incandescence' by Neil Richardson. Syd Dale arranged and produced this one.

Basically, if you're looking for funk, they aren't on those two - these ones tend towards the easier side of things. I don't know about the others - maybe someone else can help here?
