A trip to the library, with one or two swerves into charity shops, yields:

Harry Roche Constellation: Casino Royale & Other Hip Sounds (CBS, 1966)
Martin Carthy: Landfall (Philips, 1971)
Big Jim 'H' & His Men Of Rhythm: Hammond Hits (SGA) [the 'Jungle Fever' one] (double)

Also saw an 80s CD featuring the hits of Phil Collins played on synthesiser. I hope I'll never know what atrocities lurk thereon. Mind you, I'm thinking I should've picked it up to flog to some big-walleted US R&B producer now...

...you're all lucky. All I found was Norman Cook's 'Spacious Lies' 12. And that was only bought for the sake of it really....

Chakachas S/T LP - Rare as 1st LP with the killer funky 'Stories??', plus 'Soledad' & 'Love, Love, Love', the latter two of which are credited to an 'N.Gomez'. Well I never.

Both were from 2nd hand store, but both were very, very cheap. Noice!
Let him have the lot for £2.00 - we were only going to throw 'em out anyway...

Ah, Studio 33 - I'm after LPs on this label, actually. Any chance of a track listing?

They're a Dutch label with links to the UK's Avenue, and featured stuff usually arranged/composed by Gerard Stellaard.

If you see any more Studio 33 LPs, I'll buy them off you.

I got this as part of a job lot - trust me, you aren't missing much. There's a Whitney Houston one too, which if anything is even worse.......(shudder).

ooooh!! I've had one eye open for Fritz The Cat longer than I care to remember....

Not much for me this week apart for another bugger which has been evading me for years - Lemon Dips 'Who's Gonna Buy' on de Wolfe - bit the bullet and paid £50 for it. Me am a bad boy.

On the 45 front, got Star City's Jim Burgess mix of SDGs 'I'm A Man' (not as good as Emerson's cover) and that 'Bite Hard' promo 45 with 'Hard Hitter' & 'Power Surge' on it. Noice.

Col, I'm a bit of a collector of daft disco versions of I'm A Man. There are quite a few, but I've never heard that. What's it like?
