One alternative: Would anyone be interested in a CD Swap club as it is being exercised (!over at deepfunk at the moment? The rules are: "X" number of people commit to participate; say 25 Swap Club members. Everyone bruns "X-1" CDs (24 in this example) and sends them to the organizer of the Swap Club including return postage. Once all copies have been received the organizer distributes the copies to all members. So, for the price of 24 CDRs and 2x postage you get a fresh batch of music.
The deepfunk experience shows that it takes some discipline to meet deadlines, so disorganized time wasters should not sign up... but I remember that people have been waiting for their one-on-one Christmas and Easter exchanges for a long time as well.

I've participated in the last 2 CD swaps and had nothing but good music to listen to and as a result added quite a few titles to my want list in the process so I'm all aboard any kind of swap that might be organized.

The CD swap idea is great, I have been swapping mixes for
some time now on this site Art Of The Mix
and have had some really interesting exchanges with folks.
They have all categories too so I would recommend a look in ÂÂ

I'm totally up for a Cd swapclub like the Deepfunk one, I guess this one would be a more off-the-wall, Brillo type affair huh? Question is though, who's willing to administer the whole thing?
