today I stopped off at one of my local charities and picked up

Non Stop Pepsi Party (MFP) - rough condition but some good breaks. Arranged by Denny Wright

Dianne and the New Worlds - Tamla Hits (SGA) Dodgy selection of Motown covers with some excellent Leo Muller tracks included.

Silver Convention - Greatest Hits - poor condition

Top of the pops albums x 2 - pretty awful.

Nice Muller find... doesn't show up too often these days... aren't those Motown cover-versions terrible !
If you're looking for a pristine copy then this isn't the one for you. The vinyl looks like someone has polished their brickwork with it and the label has been ruined by some fool with a pen.

hehe, yeah they're pretty weak! Whats the score with Muller having his tracks on there then? I don't really see the motown connection (or have i missed something obvious?)

sadly the lp is not in great condition but its certainly good enough to play out (well the muller tracks are anyway...). Not bad for 50p!

Just out of interest, which TOTP LPs were they? If I've not got them, and you don't want them, I might be able to take them off your hands.......::

Not much today for me, just:

Camerata - The Velvet Gentleman (Deram)
Mainly straight classical, with a few short moogy bits here and there. Often on sale for stupid prices, for some reason.

Various - Curtain Up (Pye)
Odd 1950s Pye sampler with linking spiel by a very young Bruce Forsyth!

the top of the pops lps are SHM 860 & SHM 990

i'll give em another listen but i don't think i'll want to hang on to em. Their condition is a pretty ropey though.

Those are both on the Purple Fox/Jeff Cooper LP (and I'd link to the main site - you can find out all about Mr. Muller there US of A - but the site's down). And the other two may well be renamed as Serms says...

The versions of these on the Diane & The New Worlds (as well as being credited to 'Funky Junction' on the Gladys Knight LP) are the *instrumental* versions of the tracks from the Alex Boggs/Jeff Cooper 'Hendrix' LP.

Just make things clearer/more confusing * (delete as applicable).

I think Chris has got all the names/pseudonyms mentioned on the Muller pages on the main V V site ?
