... a publication to read that doesn't mention Franz Ferdinand? I might dig out some early issues of The Face instead... oh wait a sec...

I'd avoid any books that discuss the origins of the First World War.

Maybe you should change your name to Gabriel Princips ?

Yes hurry - I gather next issue Crochet Monthly are doing an early 80s doilies special, featuring Franz Ferdinand interviewed by Beryl Pursglove of Prestatyn, NSW over rock cakes and cream tea...

With those wacky 'Scissor' Sisters on the cover...

'Take Me Out' was a great single though. Rest of the CD isn't too inspiring. Especially if you remember the early 80s well enough. They're not doing anything that different to what the Postcard label did really. Kind of a mish-mash of Orange Juice, Talking Heads and early Simple Minds (before Jim Kerr went for bloated stadium rock).

I can see FF being around in a few years time and still making interesting music though, they do seem quite detached from all the hype.

Rather someone like FF get attention than the kind of dogshite discussed in the Joss Stone thread. Or any boy band. Or eski/garage shite.

Nothing against them myself, sounded quite competent, but boy do they have a super-aggressive PR/press agent of what? Or maybe it's the media desperate for something good?

                Nah!

                PS. I hate Sadie Frost.

I shouldn't waste too much venom on Sadie, she'll be going out like Paual Yates before long. Complete mess.

I think Robbie will follow her too. He'll be back in the loving bosom of his coke dealer soon enough.

And as for El Diego...the man is a legend, but a bad advert for indulgence!
