King crimson

Hey everyone.

I picked up McDonald & Giles S/T and it's on some shit. By which I mean: it's really really good.

Additionally, I like it a lot.

Given that the two purple-tinged gents in question were members of King Crimson, I'm forced to re-think my long held assumption that KC must be crap. (I'm not entirely sure why I believe this, it's just a long held belief).

So am I wrong in my pigheaded ignorance? Or have just nailed it?

In the Wake of Poesiden (SP?) - their 2nd LP has a great track called Catfood on it - very funky!

I concurr on the McDonald & Giles - superb!

There's a late period album called Discipline that has a couple of funky things on it. I don't think many people here would like it, because the production's quite slick (it sounds like late period Gong), but the two tracks are Elephant Talk and Funky Jam. It's sort of ruined by the lack of bass in the mix, though.
