    found this one monday - well cheesy record but...tony oxley, gordon beck, ike isaacs, don lusher, kenny baker....nice line-up!
    what's that all about then?

      I did a road trip with a mate today (monday) to Taunton, Bridgewater, Street, and Glastonbury....bollocks!
      total finds:

      Polished Brass of London (as above)
      Trumpet a GoGo (Saga) - I think this is Mike Gibbs' first LP
      Hot Hits 6 (MFP) - with 'break' - two copies
      Nelson Riddle 'Today Sound of..' (Sunset)
      Pye Chart Busters - with version of 'Back Street Luv'
      Harry Stoneham - Very best of...(Studio 2)
      Jack Parnell - More TV Times Top TV etc...
      John McLeod 'String Bag of Bones' (Pye)
      Peddlers - Three for All
      Giorgio Moroder - Chase 12"
      Pigbag - Papa's got a Brand New Pigbag 12"
      Rock Workshop - The Very Last Time (CBS) Classic!
      The Surlies - Thunderstrike! school lp from Tunbridge Wells, 1982. 11 to 14 year olds playing everything from folk to heavy rock..haven't checked this out yet.

      two Duke Grants....

          flip, you get about a bit John, there aint much hope for me knowing that you regularly trawl the local charities! Still I happened accross a whole collection at my local haunt in Bath which turned up a few nice pieces including Chico Arnez' non stop dance party (with the break on Soul Finger).

            There's a follow-up called 'Golden Trumpet', which I love - ramshackle, amateurish, with a very enthusiastic black bloke shouting all over some groovy instrumentals! Never seen this one though.

            'A String Bag Of Bones' is great too - lovely 'Harlem Nocturne' on that.

            If you don't want that Pye Chartbusters, can I have it?
