  • Curt cress

Anyone know what album the following Curt Cress tracks are from:
    Funk Off
    Explorer
    Transit To Nowhere

I suspect the first is from Curt Cress Clan (Atlantic 1975), but I'm not sure. Anyone? I know he's German, if that's any help. And he's named after a popular salad ingredient.

Where are the Krautrock // German fusion experts when you need them? Curt's one of the legendary German drummers. Nearly as good as Ringo Funk.

Cress is an excellent addition to an egg sandwich, a far better garnish than cucumber, which IMO ruins any sandwich and is the most bourgeois vegetable.

You freeking scientologists are all the same, quible, dribble and then demand ice creams. Ohhhhhhhhhhh.

John, you cynic. Homemade egg mayo on good bread can be amazing! I agree with the cucumber issue, for such a watery vegetable to be in a pre-packed sandwich is simply inexcusable... However, inserted into the sandwich seconds before it's served could be acceptable.

This is a far too important subject to discuss here. I suggested moving this thread over to Sandwich Sealions - VV's sister site

I like to thinly slice my cucumber and then chop it into strips before placing it into my sandwich. If you then grind over your black pepper and salt they stay in place correctly seasoning your sandwich whilst the cucumber adds the requisite layer of moisture prevently your sandwich from being a rather drying experience. Of course it all depends what type of sandwich you're making but don't hate the cucumber. He's your sandwich's friend.

please don't ever mention celery again - in fact apart from the majestic carrot and the saintly calabrese, it looks like all vegetables beginning with the letter 'c' are crap.

Nick, you misunderstand me. I have no issue with the egg, or indeed the mayo...it's the 'c' vegetables which irk me. See separate thread....

Some thinly sliced celery in your potato salad is a welcome treat although I still prefer spring onions or radish (both also thinly sliced).

Sorry, but the concept of egg as a sandwich filling is wrong, wrong, all wrong.
