This week: Reverend Cleatus + DJs Dean & Veris (The Program, Reading)

Hot, Funky & Sweaty, Thurs May 06
Salmon & Compasses, 58 Penton St, Angel, London N1
    Every 1st & 3rd Thursday of the month, 8pm-2am. £2 (cheap&#33

The most Reverend Cleatus and his Soul Saviours are back for a second spin of the funky roulette wheel, fixed of course, on hot hard funk! Alan Partridge eat yer heart out... Good to see them on the (non-existent) stage, after all them times hanging out with the competition the last bunch of months. As usual, expect the funk to be brassy, fast and, of course, haaaarrd.

Our guest DJs tonight are flying in special from far-flung Reading. Dean & Veris run the best night 50 miles away in a place called the Afroba, their monthly night: The Program. They’re also the only guys I know with a copy of Lil’ Buck’s Little Boy Blue – always nice to hear...

Quality music all round then, see you there.

Blimey, with all this flying to the Salmon we should probably set up a landing strip on Chapel Market...

But I'm addicted now. And I feel so healthy.     And yep, I should be there providing the runway isn't littered with rotting cabbage.

Our import soulstrutter - Nate will be there. So make anyone looking vaguely lost a big brillo beer.
