• Ugly duckling - a little samba

I bought this when it came out, but the issue on XL I bought is not the one I always hear when it gets played out. The one I have has Another Samba, A Little Salsa Remix feat. People Under The Stairs and Another Samba (instrumental).

I heard it again on Saturday and it's reminded me I really must finally work out which mix it is. Someone suggested it's the DJ Dealer Mix, but I've Googled that and nothing comes up. Any ideas?

It might be an import - Ive got quite a few UD ones. Actually there might have been two singles on XL?

The last UD I got was the genius one with grand puba. It was so daft yet soooo good.

No, I don't think so. Mine has the same cat. no. as yours actually (strange). God this is annoying. I'd forgotten about it till last weekend and hearing it reminded me that I'd bought the wrong bloody record in the first place.

The mix that usually gets played is more obviously hip hop and less Latin-y than the OG, but is still as stupendously daft as the original.

Is it this one Bill ? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws....83&rd=1

Seriously though - I've got the same issue as Buddah.

And yes Serms - the Rio 12 is equally good with the Eistein Rio Trip and of course the Puba cut on the flip. That's the daddy!

There were two 12's when it was released - the one Bill has, and the one Buddah and Cheebs have - one was red and the other blue if memory serves

Erm, sorry, that hasn't helped much either has it?

One 12” (red cover) has the Album version of Samba, the other 12”(Blue cover) as a completely different version, the beats and lyrics are both totally different. On the album version their fronting about being rich, and on the remake their the lyrics are about being poor. Both 12” are well worth picking up.
