• Those covers 33 record boxes...

The ones that hold 100: do the lids come off? If not, do you find it awkward using them with the lids up all the time?

They're so bloody cheap though. I'm about to order one now, but wanted to check first...

If you're talking about the 45s boxes then yes the lids come off. They're surprisingly sturdy for their cheapness actually. I've only had mine a few months but no problems thus far.

Me and Mike we're sporting them on Saturday Nick (no camo unfortunately). I've got a 200 and Mike has a 100. Mine is pretty sturdy, although not *quite* square so I'm alway careful to line the lid up when replacing it. And the 100 only has one lane. But for the money they're great, and I'm definitely considering buying another.

Excellent, just checking. They'll pay for themselves almost immediately through savings on cab fares...

can some nice fella post a weblink to these... ta !
If you're looking for a pristine copy then this isn't the one for you. The vinyl looks like someone has polished their brickwork with it and the label has been ruined by some fool with a pen.

yeah, they're nice for the money. been using mine twice a week since November, and no problems so far. it does fit 100, and that's with paper + card sleeves on each, not like a lot of 12" boxes which blatantly don't hold the stated number. i don't think it would stand much abuse, but then you shouldn't be abusing your records anyway!

              wow

they look like a good deal - I got one from Beatin' Rhythm last year which is amazingly tough - you could drive a truck over it without too many problems - but it was expensive.
We know when a mate buys it for you too.

One of the 45 boxes John ?? - yeah, they are incredibly tough - recommended, if a little pricey...

I reckon the truck would come off worse...

Well I'm not sure about their abilities to withstand trucks driving over them, but I'm certainly happy to cart my 45's around in one. And the price includes postage, which is a bargain in itself.

Actually, thinking on... I reckon the extra cash money I spent on my 45 box was well worth it... I mean remember the amount of money those little babies of yours are now worth... the price of protection should reflect that !

For example - just seen a minty copy of "It's Your Thing" by Cold Grits for 125 quid... Ooof !

Aaah, but then I think of the vinyl I could buy with that money...
