Well, don't know if you've got or seen the re-issue 'Movements' LP (I haven't got it but a mate has). In the liner notes it has some interview notes with Mr Harris, including an anecdote that at some swanky party after (for) its release, Peter Sellers and another famous cohort told him they had stayed up all night listening to it, saying it was the most fantastic music they'd ever heard..

PS. Top release fellas! Can't wait to check for the loudness!!!

Louder did you say? I never had problems with the original

Does anyone know if they used 2 drummers or was it double tracked?
I'm going to put a couple on order. This'll fly out

no. it's just the banging main part with the massive drum break and the huge hammond.

sermad, do you want to do the Krivit Buni Disco Edit?

Easy there, Serms. You can safely bet that there will be no looped drum breaks or general mash-up action going on, just a shortening exercise, I'd imagine!

Maybe you ask the boys if you could do a Soundly Beaten mash of all the tracks released so far within the same 12" track?!!

Terrific stuff! The clip of 'Saturday Gigue' on the Licorice Soul site sounds ruddy marvellous. Guaranteed heavy rotation chez Tommo!

Looking forward to getting it and giving it a blast. Great interview with Ken Barnes too. Love the fact we get an interview everytime one of these LS records appears.

    Licorice soul lsd004 out june!

It's been a great year for Licorice Soul (mainly thanks to all of you, nice one&#33 - we've now sold out of LSD001 and LSD002, and only have around 10 copies left of LSD003, so get over to Licorice Soul LSD003 quickly if you still want one.

Now for the fun stuff. A true Vinyl Vulture classic, as playlisted by such luminaries as Jonny Trunk, John Stapleton and many other people called John, we are very proud to bring you our latest 45rpm vinyl single, LSD004 - The Roundtable - Eli's Comin / Saturday Gigue.

Once again we have the one and only Jon to thank for cleaning up the original studio masters and fixing a number of audio issues in the original recording. It's made an incredible difference - check the OG LP against our 45 and we think you'll be impressed... and most importantly, it's loud!

This 45 includes a previously unreleased 7" edit of Eli's Comin', you lucky people! As always, this record is pressed straight off the original studio masters with just a little remastering to make the detail shine. Music as beautiful as this deserves careful attention to detail.

If you don't know about this magnificent (and now getting bloody hard to find) cult record, then just check the Chart archives and you'll see more than one reference to it.

Particular thanks to Sam Szczepanski at President for all her help with putting this release together, and to Ken Barnes for his time with the interview.

Release date should be June 14th so hopefully we'll have 'em in time for June's Brillo at 4 quid a pop!
