  • Depressing towns

What, in your opinion, is the most depressing town you've been to?

    I'll start with WORKSOP

It was grey and full of old people buying cheap meat and there was a turd in the swimming pool.

Honourable mentions to PETERBOROUGH, STRANRAER (both places where it is impossible to find enough things to do to pass a day. You just end up sitting on a bench waiting for it to end) and the jewel of Couinty Durham, PETERLEE

    Vardy.....¡¡¡PELIGRO!!!

I think you should illuminate us all by telling us which wonderous place you hail from, before we all start slagging places off.

I`ve had enough of that from those public school idiots from "Location, Location, Location" who turn up once a year to tell you that where you live is shit. I wouldn`t give a toss, only mud sticks and once their opinion is regurgatated in the broadsheets it deters companies from setting up or relocating here.

There are good places & bad places in all UK towns.

Peterlee? Two things about Peterlee you should know. It's 3 miles from where I live and I saw my first Live band there, Penetration, in 1977.

I can think of worse places, that picture is the infamous Passmore Pavilion, which unbelievably is a listed building.

I'm from just outside Keyworth. Dull Notts satellite town where nothing ever happens.

If any retail companies fancy setting up there one of these is for sale.

Tell those of us in Nottingham about it: second worst in the UK for two years running. Wouldn't mind, but they had Mansfield at a mere seventh, and we're nowhere near as bad as Mansfield...

Not even in the happening cosmopolitan centre of Keyworth, then. Funnily enough, my other half grew up on Mount Pleasant and went to school there.

Then again, isn't 'just outside Keyworth' technically getting towards Bunny, which is really quite quaint?
