• Ebay = bargain hunters.

Has anyone else noticed that ebay is just kicking up pure gold at the moment.

Stuff I've been waiting years to get has been floating up and selling for peanuts. There seem to be an amazing amount of Italian grails coming every week.

...Random Example (OK its French but still....)

    Must stay away...must stay away

Stoopid fuckin ebay - just realised i had to press extra buttons to see all my watching list. Wondered where they'd all got to!

I'm chuffed (so far) with my purchase of two Shure white label cartridges, with apparently only 3-4 hours of use on 'em. Go them both, with cases, for the price of one here in the UK. I can finally stop destroying my records with those rusty nails I've got in a jar in the 'tool corner' of my house... I say chuffed so far cos they not here yet.

hello mate, I'm guessing you must be 'vinylhorder' - in which case I'd point out that I did actually have bids down on both these albums SIX DAYS before you - I just topped them up at the last minute. I'll be happy not to bid if I see you have a bid already, as I try and do with all Vultures, but if I'm in there first...

and of course I'll happily do you a rub of the album when it arrives - no problem sir!

                      Ah Del Richardson

Picture the scene. I'm in Norwich with Towny at Fine City Sounds (when it was in it's basement location) about 8 years ago.

Idly flicking through the folk/rock section I come across said Del LP for about £4.

"I've got that". says Towny "it's got a good track on it. You want to buy that".

I put it to the front of the section and carry on going through the racks.

To cut a long story short I forgot to buy it.

Aside from Towny's I've ever seen another copy
He also contributed songs for the Jim Henson movie vehicle 'Muppets From Space'.

Marvellous place! Probably my favourite secondhand shop. Always reeks of terrible roll-ups, and my image of the bloke who runs it as a gentle music-loving type was slightly dented when he put up a sign on his door in the basement location along the lines of 'If anyone pisses down this flight of stairs again I'll breaking both his fugging legs', but he has always something of note in and often gives a discount if you stagger up to the counter with a tottering pile of shellac.

And you probably remember when the same guy ran Norwich Record Exchange just up the road. . .

Eric @ OutOfTime is the best dealer in Norwich - quality gear, quick turnaround, cheap prices etc

Paul @ FineCity is alright, if a bit grumpy. His new(ish) shop where MovieShop used to be is beginning to build up a stink in the same style as the basement/cave. Troglodyte is his nickname

Never been round Norwich way, but Eric from Out Of Time seriously knows his stuff - he's written some very informative articles for various publications.

Dave Sucky can't be a real name, can it??
