Thought I'd share this with you, for anyone looking to buy any new stuff,
Got the Quantic LP (Mishaps Happening) and the Gift of Gab LP (4th Dimensional Rocketships Going Up) recentley and have been listening to them both quite a bit.
The Gift of Gab is pretty soulfull and fairly laid back, ace cover art also!
Quantic's LP for me is another hit for him, no great shocks here, if you know quantic you'll know what to expect (A cross between his QSO & Last quantic lp?).
Oh Spanky Wilsons on there doing a couple of spankin tunes

A great Hip hop 12 i picked up is the new Dooley O single "I don't wanna lose you".
I don't know if this is an old tune dug back up like his recent stones throw 12, or if it's new material? Certainly sounds like old school hip hop, which shurely is a good thing!

What have other people been listening to?

    new-ish at least...

fletch - "heavy stepper" (7 hills records)
mr hopkinson - "march in the garden / april in the garden"
    "soundsational" comp. - (earful).

ok, the last one's old stuff, but it's sort of new.

Good call on that Arovane lp mate, its beautifull, and on a City Centre Offices tip i can reccomend
            Christian Kleine - Real ghosts

Also worthy of a 'big up' are

Komakt - Kompakt 100 comp (loads of different German/British electronic gear)
Big Jus - Black mamba serums v2.0 (innovative hip hop from former Company Flow MC)
DJ 3000 - Electric soul mix cd (solid detroit techno/house mix)
Casino versus Japan vs Freescha - Wobblyhead ep (drifting daydreamy ambience)
Kings of tomorrow - unknown white label (lovely jazzy house instrumental with full on Rhodes rifffin'&#33
Fennesz - Venice (strange My Bloody Valentine influenced electronica)
7L and Esoteric - This is war (sinister piano led hip hop)
Andre Lodemann - Flying (more deep Detroit house music)

and Wooly is deffo right with that Reddifusion comp, it's a 'lil belter.

no doubt, CCO is hot right.i've been trying to get my mits on Christian Kleine's stuff for awhile now. I think his older releases might be harder to come by. i'll definitely keep my eye out for his new lp though.

any thoughts on Porn Sword Tobacco? I've read many good things about them but sadly my local record store can't seem to get their shit together and get me a copy.

I must plead ignorance on that mech 1, i aint never heard of 'em. But i'll try to find summat out.
your not wrong about CCO. Mr Kleine's back cat (most of it) should be available from Rough trade. The lp 'Beyond repair' is well worth the time, and if you can get it the 'Firn' ep is like a tibute to the Boards of Canada (new lp due soon incidentally).

                            Cheers.

Nope, it's just a little quick thing I did for a local community radio show thing in march & then april . . . twice cos it's kinda shambolic - the first show I did was never recorded or broadcast [ there's an ( incomplete ) archive here http://dialect.bettercode.com/pub/To..._20040414.html ] and the same basic idea's on my easter mix, using 'From The Top'. Btw, If you ( or anyone else not in the swap ) want an easter mix pm away!

Also, I spotted your recommendation of Horse Power Productions in that Streets-Fighting-Thread, and followed it up - nice
