  • Mike hankinson

    Hi,

Does anyone know if Mike Hankinson is a pseudonym for a library composer? He wrote a track called "Phase Out" on Chappell.

    Cheers,
    David
    God bless Fatso.

Mike Hankinson is a British-born composer/conductor based in South Africa, who as well as contributing a fair bit to the Chappell and Parry libraries was also the MD on a number of Boosey and Hawkes library sessions which were recorded in South Africa's Gallo Studios and remixed back in London.

A number of his B&H sessions turned up on a South African MFP LP called 'South African Safari', which is brilliant and well worth picking up if you ever see one - they're all different mixes from the B&H library versions.

He also did a few volumes of 'Springbok Hits Electronic' for MFP in SA, which I'm after copies of!

He's still active in the music business, as this site proves.
