Bloody hell - sat in the North East on possibly the most miserable day of the year (filthy rain yet hot and sticky with zero fresh air) and I read about another great night in the Big Smoke.

.. intrigued to read about the "Solar Plexus" LP - Is it the same one I'm thinking of, pink/red cover, US (possibly private press) from '75/'76... I picked up a copy of this a couple of weeks ago and haven't really played it through properly.. Ed and I tracked it quickly at the weekend.. can't remember feelin' the hotness off it first play...

Take it Ed must have recognised the LP if he saw it...
If you're looking for a pristine copy then this isn't the one for you. The vinyl looks like someone has polished their brickwork with it and the label has been ruined by some fool with a pen.

Hah, wait 'til you see Serm's list. I'm afraid some people have been a little sloppy with their transcription... And I praise the Lord for Nick's hangovers 'cos it means I've already got my bids on.

Very weird last night. The last few Brillos have been marked by fewer than normal Brillionaires and even fewer punters. Last night there were notable absentees, but one new attendee (the Hooded Claw revealed&#33, more records than there was time and genuine members of the public just kept arriving. Si and Nick had them dancing and Chris The Management must have been well pleased!

You freeking scientologists are all the same, quible, dribble and then demand ice creams. Ohhhhhhhhhhh.

Hang about!

It takes ages to transcribe those bloody notes, haven't even looked at them yet and not looking forward to the Sermed one's scrawls either... It'll be a while, got things to do first as in real life world stuff!

Had a very enjoyable evening last night. I know Chris (Veris) did to. We enjoyed meeting some people for the first time. It was a great social night.

And the music....the most freaked-out Brillo yet?

I am re-born!
Long story, but I needed to re-register cos the pain of passwords forgotten and repetitive techno commands made on me by my pc made my head hurt, so here I am, naked for all to see! You shall now know me simply as: Soul-Fiend.

Oh, and by the way, last nite was probably my best ever Brillo. I thought I dropped the prog-nasty, but Serms opened the gates of Techno Rock Hell and me being me, I jumped in like a synth hungry goon!

Things were nicing up a treat when Tom and I departed, leaving Serms and Nick to keep the hordes thirsty, whilst we sat outside in a mini cooper, eating M&S sandwiches and head banging to Brand Nubian!

Nice nite kids!!!
it's time for some heartbeats

Is it coincidence? first time in attendace and a full house! you may bring the funk but I bring the crowds...

Wicked night, left with the satisfied feeling of a gut full of beer and a head full of funk.

... and a warm welcome too, see you next time!

Any chance of the playlist? I was very taken by the proto-techno Canadian dub disco thing Sermad played and I would like to know it's name.
