  • Here's some footage of the reclusive, reticent and very shy Shuggie Otis live. The drummer's wife recorded it, so Shuggie's not always in frame...

I only stumbled across this the other day as well.

It's funny how in my mind The Speakeasy was some incredible palace of cool, and yet in reality it looks like a dodgy Irish dancehall with the odd bit of satin added.

I was thinking that about the Speakeasy too!

The Groep1850 clip is really good.

Im really digging this clip and wondering where i can find the whole show (8 clips from my fav lp of hers ) to stick on to dvd!

Y'know PP - you've hit on a good topic here - now, I'm damned if I know where the rest of that Piccadilly show is, but the more fundamental question is this - why isn't there a decent Francoise Hardy DVD out there at all? There's great little clips hither and thither around the net, but nothing more definitive than that - Bardot and Gainsbourg have both had decent compilations out so why no FH? - and what is that 'fav LP' of yours anyway?

PS - Hendersons supplies restored - public order crisis averted!

                        • oh yeah....I'm supposed to post a video too, huh?

Just done a search and (although I could be wrong) it seems no-one's posted this one, which surprises me somewhat, since I find it to be utterly, erm... compelling...

                          Jenny Rock - Mal

...ah, well I didn't have much chance of finding an affordable copy anyway

Theres a fair few(all??) of the Piccadily show on youtube from that same user-it started a playlist for me.
A FH DVD would be top notch.
My fav lp is this one which I can safely say is all killer no filler

(Nice work on the Hendo's )
